Conduct, safeguarding and inclusion
Duffield Lawn Tennis Club is a members' club and we welcome people from all sections of the community.
So that all our members have a great experience when playing at the club, we expect everyone - adults, juniors, parents and coaches to abide by our policies and procedures. A full list of policies is available on the About Us page, while links to the key policies on conduct and safeguarding can be found below.
We expect all those who use the club to behave with courtesy towards each other. Social and competitive matches should be played in a friendly spirit - please see our Playing and Match Etiquette policy for more information. Coaching is supportive and intended to enable everyone to reach their potential. Abusive language and unacceptable behaviour in the Clubhouse or on the courts is not allowed. Such behaviour will result in disciplinary action.
Members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or make a complaint through a coach, a council member or our Welfare Officer.

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all our members. We have adopted the LTA Safeguarding Policy to help us to minimise risk, deliver a positive tennis experience for everyone and respond appropriately to all safeguarding concerns/disclosures.
Duffield Lawn Tennis Club aims to make tennis inclusive and open to a diverse range of people. Our Diversity/Inclusion policy helps us to ensure that these principles are embedded in our club’s culture and our behaviours.
Bullying
We try to ensure that all young people and adults at risk are safeguarded from abuse and have an enjoyable tennis experience.
Our anti-bullying policy sets out how to help prevent bullying from happening and how to make sure it is stopped as soon as possible
Our online safety policy sets out how the Club uses the internet and social media. It seeks to protect children involved with our organisation who make use of technology, as well as to provide staff, coaches and volunteers with the information they need to work safely and to respond to incidents
